Peppa Pig is a big sister again!
The star of Peppa Pig gained a new little sister when her mom, Mummy Pig, welcomed her third baby, daughter Evie. In an email interview, Mummy Pig shares how she’s been feeling since welcoming Evie, and how her family reacted when meeting their new addition.
“I’m feeling fantastic,” Mummy Pig tells PEOPLE. “I’m so thrilled Evie is finally here, happy and healthy! I won’t say it was an easy birth, because I’m not sure such a thing exists — oink! But it was all worth it once she was snug and safe in my arms, and the family got to meet her properly.”

Since coming home from the hospital, Mummy Pig has loved watching her daughter Peppa and son George meet their new baby sister.
“It’s been an adventure already! She’s just as curious and excitable as Peppa, and as playful and funny as George,” she says. “They’re already quite the little trio! Just like Peppa, Evie loves music — no matter what is playing, she’ll jiggle and giggle along.”
As for how they settled on the name Evie, Mummy Pig says it took a long time to find the perfect moniker — but this one is actually a family name.
“It was quite a process to find the perfect name, let me tell you,” says Mummy Pig. “For a while, it seemed like we might just call her ‘Baby’ forever! Oink! But Evie is a perfect fit – it was the name of my Great Aunt, and our little one’s eyes just lit up when we first suggested it, like she knew it was her name already.”
When they first met Evie, Peppa and George were “so excited.” They sprinted through the hospital, alongside Granny and Grandpa Pig, to meet their baby sister.
“What was a big surprise, though, was just how gentle they were with Evie straight away,” Mummy Pig says. “As soon as they were in the room, they were so calm and loving…Evie couldn’t get enough of their attention, smiling and giggling away!”

Of course, adding a new little one to the family can be a big change and Mummy Pig admits that there have been a few “wobbles” as her family has gone through the transition.
“It’s an ongoing change for sure! They both take their responsibility as ‘Big Brother’ and ‘Even Bigger Sister’ very seriously,” Mummy Pig explains. “There’s been some wobbles here and there — sometimes, it can be tricky for little ones to understand that babies need a lot of Mummy and Daddy’s time and attention.”
“However, we do our best to make sure each little one feels loved and seen, even involving them in all things Evie-related…which is usually a lot, until it’s time for a nappy change!”
As Mummy Pig knows, adding a new little one to the family can be bumpy, but luckily Mummy and Daddy Pig have been able to rely on their village to help support them.
“Well yes, it’s definitely more to juggle! More chaos, more laughs, more nappies and more…everything! But we are so lucky to have a wonderful network of family and friends to help us,” she shares. “Granny and Grandpa Pig couldn’t wait to book in to babysit, and our local parent’s groups have been amazing.”
“Plus, we’ve had SO many well-wishers popping by to talk and bring us gifts and food – our freezer’s never been so full of veggie lasagnes! We’re so grateful to everyone.”
Looking to the days and months ahead, Mummy Pig is ready to experience everything with her family of five.
“It’s always amazing to get to see all their ‘firsts’ as babies, isn’t it?” she says. “Their first laughs, first bedtime stories, first baths…They’re all a gift, and they only happen once, so I’m excited for all of it, and I know Peppa is too!”
